There has been a lot of debate about whether the Golden Benanas are a good Oscar bellwether or a great Oscar bellwether. This year should put that debate to rest when Get Out wins best picture, War for the Planet of the Apes wins best visual effects, and Rocky Horror Picture Show (live) wins the more obscure best 40-ish year old movie with a shadow-cast that Ben is just getting around to seeing in theatres now.
