Golden Benana Winner – The Witness (PS4)
Getting this joke requires that you a) Know what the Golden Benanas are, b) Know what the Witness is, and c) Are reasonably good at the Witness. And if you get it, it’s not a good joke. The Golden Benanas always walks a fine line between satisfying creative outlet and total waste of my life, and man…this one is really pushing it.

For a couple weeks, my living room was filled with little scraps of paper covered with grids and notes and codes and scribbles. And I remember spending hours staring at this little red square to try to figure out the significance of its shadow. And when the game ended with a 90 minute philosophy lecture, I just lay there on the couch, half-listening, and fell asleep satisfied. The Witness was wonderful.
